Celebrating Good News of Death and Resurrection

Gustavo and Mayra are leading the youth group and worship team for the Joyas Church.  Gustavo was robbed while working in a convenience store one Sunday morning, and decided it would be better to put God first and be in church on Sundays.

Stu with 20 students in the Basic Coaching Skills module at Puebla Bible Seminary in December 2015

Students worked in trios to practice their coaching skills at the Seminary module.

We enjoyed an annual retreat in February with Summer Missionary Project alumni and prospects at the Koinonia Camp

Stu with Pastor Galo from the Tlapaneco ethnic group.  We trained Galo and 20 others from Tlapa in 2008, and this pastor recently invited us to help them train 30 youth to do 5-day kids clubs.  He was so impressed with the impact of two youth we trained last summer from his church that he encouraged the Tlapaneco churches to participate this year in training youth and evangelizing children.

Stu and Cristina helped to train the 4 youth from the Tlapaneco ethnic group in July 2015.  Pray for these four young people (Eufemia, Loida, Claudio, Miguel) as they return this year as trainers for the new youth (July 24-31).

A monthly breakfast for eight pastors in Puebla led by Chalo (background) in our home.  Pray for opportunities of collaboration among the Bible Churches in Puebla.

We enjoyed a "Seek First" retreat with the families of Pastor Carlos and elder Moses with their families in April.  The teaching during the retreat was Resolving Conflicts.

We are working with Adrian and Anabel to start the Missions Team with a focus on personal evangelism and local outreach.  Pray for this Missions Team as we develop plans to start a daughter church this year.

We did pre-marital counseling with this young couple Orlando and Alejandra who were married in December.  They are now helping as youth group  leaders in the Sembrador Church.

Megan (next to Cristina) was meeting with other teachers at Puebla Christian School during her visit in November.  She came to Puebla last summer with a youth team from Minneapolis, and has been accepted as a mid-term missionary with Camino Global to teach at PCS beginning in August.

Danny will be working with Megan's youth group this summer, and then they return to Puebla.

Danny enjoys teaching English with 3 youth from the Sembrador Church.  Jan helped in his class during his recent visit from Minnesota.

Stu with Erica at Liberty University in Virginia after their road trip from Minnesota in January 2016.  She is finishing her first semester at Liberty and will enter the nursing program in the fall after finishing all of her prerequisites.

Our car was covered with ash from the nearby Popocatepetl volcano one morning in April.  It looked like a dusting of snow, but it would not melt :-(
